Something that really bugs me is

How Nadezhda Tolokonnikova gets the most attention out of the three members of Pussy Riot who were convicted.

I dunno if this has been brought up before, but do a Google image search for ‘Pussy Riot’, and you get this:

That’s fourteen photos of just Nadezhda, one of her and Maria Alyokhina, and eighteen of them as a trio. Neither Alyokhina or Yekaterina Samutsevich have independent photos in the first two pages of results.

Why?

Because Nadezhda Tolokonnikova is hot. So we get more photos of her, because we feel more sympathy for the beautiful activist behind bars.

What pisses me off more is that they are a feminist (as well as social activist, punk, and all-round awesome) group, and this concentration on appearance in the media is just so… urgh.

So many angry feels.
